The inspiration for La Courbe came from the natural world, where bendable fluidal surfaces and the way materials react to forces play a crucial role. The stand's form and its integrity with the main panel reflect these influences. The design aims to highlight the simplicity of the curvature shape and strengthen the main body with a dominant stand.
La Courbe is not just another television; it's a pioneer of our era due to its reformist panel technology. The use of a curved panel sets it apart from near-future TVs. Unlike existing flat forms, La Courbe engages the user more effectively with its cinematographic viewing angle.
Positioned for the high-end segment, La Courbe employs a reformist production approach and high-quality finishing. It uses LED panel technology and is assembled with a special technique. The back cabinet comes from the back and covers the panel from the side surfaces. With the panel frame having a cosmetic finish, there's no need for an extra front cabinet. The sound feature, a symbol of high-end products, is emphasized and combined with the stand.
The TV is based on a 55” size. Its viewing angle is 97% for a 3m viewing distance and 100% for a 4m viewing distance. The panel radius is 4000R. The dimensions are X: 1235mm, Y: 765mm, and Z: 230mm. The design tags include Curved TV, Bended TV, Consumer Electronics, Soundbar, Soundbar embedded stand, futuristic, and Technologic.
The design team includes Itır Tümerdem, Mehmet Kaya, Burak Emre Altınordu, and the Vestel ID Team. Their efforts have been recognized with a Golden A' Digital and Electronic Device Design Award in 2014, granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that advance art, science, design, and technology.
